'It is a global system of tyranny that has been weakened and that's probably going to be positive for the world going forward.''..Ukrainians can be encouraged because their successful defense against Russia is having global impacts. And that isn't just helping their country, it is helping so many different countries and is actually making Ukraine a world leader.
The reason I say that is because a lot of these things that are happening to Russia and their proxies would not have happened if Russia hadn't invaded Ukraine and hadn't done so poorly there and the Ukrainians hadn't done so well there.
..it's a net positive for the global order where all of these off-kilter states, all of these states that have been causing so many problems in the world for so long are being progressively weakened because of what Russia has done in Ukraine. And as a result, Russia is also weakened too.
It is not just one country going down. It is a global system of tyranny that has been weakened and that's probably going to be positive for the world going forward. Although, as always, it's never an unequivocal positive. It's never an unequivocal good. There's always bad things that come with the good, but the net result seems to be positive as Ukraine has resisted Russia.
In fact, increasingly what this is looking like is not just an isolated regional war in Eastern Europe, but rather a world war in many senses of the word. Whereas Russia's power declines, all the people who trusted them are declining alongside of them.

..And for that positive aspects of that, the world can look to Ukraine and can thank Ukraine for weakening Russia.
