Microsoft And Red Hat Partnership

<blockquote>'The significant part of this announcement came in the form of platform collaboration. Pivotal Cloud Foundry, the key competitor of Red Hat OpenShift, announced the support for .NET just a day before. The general availability of Pivotal Cloud Foundry PaaS on Azure came earlier this month. With this partnership, Red Hat OpenShift would support .NET while Microsoft would run OpenShift PaaS on Azure. This is certainly a win-win deal for both Red Hat and Microsoft.

It’s interesting that both the companies avoided sharing the details of patents. In 2007, Microsoft and Novell entered an agreement not to sue each other over patents. Industry analysts believe that there is more to the partnership than just collaboration.'
