- Censored Papers Demolish the Big Bang Hypothesis, July 5, 2022

'In response to the ongoing censorship in cosmology, LPPFusion Chief Scientist Eric J. Lerner has written to a dozen top advocates of the Big Bang Hypothesis, challenging them to an open, public, online debate of the question: “Does the Big Bang Hypothesis Have More Wrong Predictions Than Right Ones?”. The debate is scheduled for Tuesday July 26, 7:00 PM EDT and Lerner will at that time present a report on the current state of the crisis, and of censorship, in cosmology. However, Lerner makes clear in the letter that he is open to setting an additional date for debate, if any researcher wants to participate at another time. Lerner, the author of The Big Bang Never Happened and many peer-reviewed papers in astrophysics and fusion research, will be defending the thesis that the Big Bang Hypothesis indeed has far more wrong predictions than right ones and should be abandoned.

“This cosmology debate has consequences here on earth,” emphasizes Lerner. “The same phenomena that are important in driving the real evolution of the universe are those we can use to develop fusion energy. I’ll be talking about the connections between astrophysics and fusion energy at the July 26 event. Free debate of basic science is what has always led to technological advance. Censorship leads to stagnation.”

The challenge to debate has been emailed to Dr. Paul Davies, Dr. Margaret J. Geller, Dr. Alan Guth, Dr. John Mather, Dr. James Peebles, Dr. Joseph Silk, Dr. George F. Smoot, Dr. Max Tegmark, Dr. Michael S. Turner, Dr. Neil Turok, Dr. Alexander Vilenkin, and Dr. Edward L. Wright. “I’ve invited these well-known researchers specifically, but I would welcome to the debate anyone who wants to advocate for the Big Bang Hypothesis,” says Lerner. “I’ve also invited scientists who have been skeptical of major aspects of the Big Bang to weigh in on this debate, including Dr. Sabin Hossenfelder and Dr. Paul Steinhardt. Again, other participants will be welcome on either side of the debate.” Lerner explains that a future debate will be devoted to the predictions of the alternative hypothesis—that the Big Bang never happened.'

'These theories were and remain controversial because the time required to [form] the largest-scale filaments is trillions of years, hundreds of times longer than the time since the hypothesized Big Bang. We will be reporting on new developments in the debate over the Big Bang hypothesis in coming months.'

'Filaments consisting of electrical current, magnetic fields and spinning plasma are central to the operation of the dense plasma focus. They constitute the critical first step in concentrating energy that leads to the formation of dense, hot plasmoids where fusion reactions take place. The theoretical and experimental understanding of such filaments was first pioneered by Nobel Laureate Hannes Alfvén and his collaborator Carl-Gunne Falthammar in the early 1980’s. These researchers connected phenomenon observed in laboratory experiments with those observed on the astrophysical scales of stars and galaxies. LPP Fusion Chief Scientist Eric Lerner elaborated this work in 1986 into a quantitative theory of how such filaments originated in the evolution of the cosmos and interacted with gravitation to form the structure of planets, stars, galaxies, cluster of galaxies and superclusters that we see today.

These theories were and remain controversial because the time required to [form] the largest-scale filaments is trillions of years, hundreds of times longer than the time since the hypothesized Big Bang. We will be reporting on new developments in the debate over the Big Bang hypothesis in coming months.'
